· Tamara Ognjević, born in 1965. Belgrade, (Serbia) graduated from Art History Department, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 2004. She is now preparing a MA thesis (The origin og illuminated motifs in Miroslav’s Gospel) on the same Department. In 2008. she graduated PR management from the London School of PR. She is also licenced tourismologist and specialist in marketing and cultural tourism. She specialised in USA, France and England.
· For more than two decades she was a professional journalist and editor in various journals such as ”Mladost”, ”Reporter”, ”Start”, ”Svijet”, ”Duga”, ”Borba”, ”Revijalna štampa”, ”Pogledi”, ”Politika”, ”Večernje novosti”, TV Studio B, ”Žena”, ”Nada”, ”Nadanova”, ”Frankfurtske Vesti”, ”Dan”, ”Vreme”, ”Blic”. From 2002. she is writing publicistic – novels and fables. In 2005. she received a ”Ivo Andrić” prize for her novel ”Mamelouk”.
· She is actively involved in scientific research and she is author of numerous scientific and specialist texts published in art history periodicals such as Bulletin of the National Museum in Belgrade, Leskovac Bulletin, Novi Pazar’s Bulletin, Niš and Byzantium, Bulletin of visual arts of Matica srpska, Novi Sad, Užice Bulletin, 3+4, etc.
· She is the author of two popular monograph ”St. Achillius – the church on the turbulent border” (2000.) and ”Ostrog – miracleworker in eagle’s nest (2002. printed edition) and 2005. (multi medial monograph in Serbian and English). Monograph ”Pigments and gold – studies, essays and articles” is due in 2010. (publisher ”Dereta”), will be a representative book in which the author combine scientific and popular approach to the complex artistic topics.
· She is the author of art history texts in the representative co–authors publication”The tourist Bible of Serbia” (2005.) published by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Serbia.
· She is the author of various text in the monograph of the painter Radomir Vergović – ”Vergović” (2005.) and the monograph about life and work of PhD in Fine Arts, Nada Zorić – ”Artistic path of Nada Zorić”(2005.).
· She took part in many national and international scientific gatherings. She was the president of scientific symposiums in Leskovac in 2006. and 2008. and the member of the committee of the International Byzantine symposium in Niš in 2008. organized by Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Universities of Niš, Sofia, Thessalonica ans Athens.
· She was editor of various historical, artistic and scientific studies and monographs.
· She was the author of several individual exhibitions (T. Peternek, N. Teokarović, A. Stojanović, V. Đukanović, R.Vergović, N. Zorić, B. Bogdanović, S. Čeković and other) and member of several collective exhibitions (40.Salon of May, International painter s colony” Under the wings of the blue angel”, Less known works from Tito’s collection ”Festivity” – Museum of Yugoslav History, Exhibition of the section for art history and theory of the ULUPUDS”1+1”, etc).
· She is the author of numerous critiques, essays and theoretical texts from the art history field published in ”Duga”, ”Večernje novosti”, ”Frankfurtske vesti”, ”Politika” ”Književna reč”, ”Književne novine”, ”Međaji”, ”Slovo and ”Savremenik”. She is has her own art column ”Gallery” in the luxurious bilingual magazine ”FMS”. In the ”Blic weekly” in 2009. she had a unique column ”Artisms”, and for the most popular women weekly – ”Blic women”, writes a column ”Treasure”, and texts about famous Serbian women –”Legends”.
· She is the author of the projects ”Touches between art and literature in the history of Serbian people from XII to XX century” for which she received a Special medal of Writers Association of Serbia.
· She was a selector of the International ceramics colony „Zlakusa 2007“, and member of various artistic committees. She is also the president of the Board of the „Singidunum“ gallery in Belgrade and the member of International commission of the Writers Association of Serbia.
· She is the coauthor of international projects ”Women painters of the South-Eastern Europe” and ”Prince Božidar Karađorđević” in cooperation with prof. Jeremy Howard (St. Andrews University, Scotland) and Stevan K. Pavlović (Southampton University, England).
· For her work she received numerous prizes and she is lecturer, mediator, and a specialist whose articles are part of obligatory literature on the universities in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Lođ and Kiev.
· She is a member of Association of journalist of Serbia, (1983.), Writers Association of Serbia (2002.), International Association of journalist, Brussels (2004.), ULUPUDS–a (2008.) and Association Art Historians, London (2009.)
She was listed in the »Yugoslav journalist Encyclopedia« (in print) and »Lexicon of writers of Serbia« (in print).
